STEMfest – inspiring a generation

STEMfest is a programme of activities that started in Crawley in 2012. Held throughout Sussex, STEMfests can:

  • Inspire and encourage the scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians of the future
  • Forge important links between schools and businesses in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) community
  • Provide young people with exciting hands-on experiences of the latest innovations in science and technology.

Crawley STEMfest is a partnership between Crawley Borough Council, Crawley College and STEM Sussex, the outreach department at the University of Brighton.

“STEMfest gives young people an insight into the vast array of career possibilities open to them in exciting and vitally important areas of science and technology”
– Henry Smith, MP for Crawley
